As an additional extra to our valuations, we also offer insurance polices to cover your precious pieces no matter where they go in the world.
Our insurance policies are supported by QBE – Australia’s largest international general insurance and reinsurance group. They’re also one of the top 25 insurers and reinsurers worldwide, which gives all our customers ultimate confidence when taking up a policy.
What our policies cover
A VCA policy will cover you worldwide for a period of 12 months. Limited to $30,000 for a single item and $60,000 for multiple items on one or more policies,. Cover for over $60, 000 can be arranged on application. Our cover will protect you against:
Loss – inside and outside home
Theft – inside and outside home
Damage – stones, claws, settings, watch glass etc
Applying for a policy
You’ll need to submit an Insurance Application form with valuations attached for any item we’ve valued. For items purchased in store, a simple description will be sufficient.
Within 5-10 business days of receiving your completed form, we’ll issue you a Certificate of Insurance document.
Making a claim
Claims will be settled by QBE Insurance (Australia) and will incur a $50 claim lodgement fee per claim, per policy. All claims related administration is handled by The Valuation Centre of Australia.
Renewing your policy
In the eleventh month of your cover, we’ll send you a renewal letter with a quote for a further 12 months of insurance.
